ACPF and EAC to Strengthen National Child Protection Systems in the EAC Region

In the face of these challenges, the East African community (EAC) and its Partner States have made significant progress in combatting violence against children on various fronts. Countries within the EAC have also made important strides in addressing violence against children. Kenya Tanzania and Uganda have undertaken national surveys, and have formulated national plans of action to address violence against children. All partner states in the region have criminalized VAC through child-related laws or criminal codes. Some have also laid down national plans of action to end violence against children.
