Description

The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) is a local non for profit and non-governmental organization that was established in June 2012 to enhance the community participation in service provision, advocate and monitor policies, encourage women and youth participation at local and national levels, and build resilience of societies affected by natural crises or armed conflicts. Its goals is to:

  • Raise awareness of the importance of investing in education and health, building capacities of youth and women, and enhancing their role and opportunities in participating in the development process, decision-making and activating the humanitarian response.
  • Contribute to efforts and actions aimed at eliminating the social and legal obstacles that limit the access of women and youth to decision-making positions in political and economic affairs.
  • Raise the participation of Yemeni communities that are affected by armed conflict in the relief process and contribute to the provision of  basic services , conflict resolution, advocacy for a culture of peace and rejection of a culture of hatred, violence and war.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of information and ensuring the availability of development indicators and humanitarian response for using them  in planning, assessment and measure the impact for sustainable development programs.
