LAC Equity Lab

The World Bank Group's Poverty Global Practice in Latin America and the Caribbean is committed to develop and update a comprehensive set of comparable and accessible indicators to help characterize equity in the region. The LAC Equity Lab is a data-sharing platform featuring indicators, tools, and analytics based on poverty, shared prosperity, inequality, and equity based on the latest microdata on Latin America and the Caribbean. The portal also contains dashboards with interactive visual tools for an in-depth look at the latest trends by country and region, technical notes and reference material. This portal provides harmonized indicators based on nationally representative household survey data from 18 countries in the region. The numbers presented here are based on SEDLAC (CEDLAS and the World Bank), a regional data harmonization effort to generate cross-country comparability. All indicators are regularly updated.
